CASA HOGAR is a very efficient aid project: concentrated forces work together in a harmonic manner. Each member of the CASA HOGAR team does what he or she does best, in precise coordination with the others. It’s a little bit like a good orchestra: in the end you have more than just the sum of the individual contributions.
CASA HOGAR not only saves young girls from the worst physical and psychological traumas, it also uses the targeted education of girls to break up the patriarchal macho structures which like a shackle hinder the society in the Chocó from a real development.
I believe that artists have a social responsibility. The energy and creativity of the young team of CASA HOGAR is inspiring, which is why I gladly support it.

Ludger Vollmer’s reputation actually relieves me of the task of introducing him: He is Germany’s most successful opera composer, receiving requests from Germany’s major opera houses to which he answers with operas such as „Lola rennt“, „Border“ or „Gegen die Wand“. The remarkable thing about his success is how close he has come to the heart of society with his work, away from the „Donaueschingen musical elite“, as he calls it. Ludger’s music is philanthropic, accessible and yet high art.
